Last Check-Up ...

We went for our last check-up prior to the scheduled C-section on Feb 13 (Tue) instead on Feb 14 (Wed). We had been worried about the baby over the weekend. After the movement monitoring test, we were less worried. Though he was still in breech position and needed to be delivered by C-section, we were happy that we would be seeing him the next day rather than keep waiting ...

2nd Last Check-Up

We caught a show "Miss Potter" at Marina Square after the check-up yesterday. It could be the last show for a couple of months (or maybe years??!!) before we can enjoy a show without interruption. We had decided to go for C-section on Valentine's Day as Jaden refused to engage his head ... When we asked about the position of the umbilical cord, the gynae was grumbling why every patient asked the same question ... I regretted to ask the question after knowing the answer ... around the neck ... the gynae said 1 out of 2 babies would have cord around the neck, just ensure that we keep monitoring the baby's movements, cannot be 50% less than the day before. I was thinking maybe it could be the reason why Jaden couldn't turn downwards??!! Jaden would be "big" i.e. 7.7lbs (3.5kg) if the measurement was correct ... He had grown more than 700g compared to last week while I had put on 400g ...

Chinese Name for Jaden ("God has heard")

Last Sunday, during the service, we suddenly came up with the Chinese name "献恩". It also sounds ok when we match it with the surname "吴". Hope God's abundant blessings be with him i.e. "无限恩典".

Chinese Herbs Again ...

We went back to consult Chinese sinseh again ... Hopefully the chinese herbs will able to increase amniotic fluid therefore the baby has more space to turn and engage his head ... and I can avoid going through caesarean ...

Tick Tock Tick ...

Check-up has become weekly activity now ... Gynae informed that I might have to go for elective Caesarian since my baby still in breech position (footling breech to be exact) ... It means I have to deliver in 2 weeks' time ... before Chinese New Year ...
